Middle School

A very warm welcome to ISH Middle School!

The middle school years are an adventure where intellectual, social and physical changes are rapid and varied, so our faculty deliver an inspiring  and broad program aimed at meeting the specific needs of this age group.  We aim to stretch and develop students to their maximum potential, and to also equip them with the crucial socio-emotional, academic, and behavioral skills to thrive in high school and beyond. 

We are particularly proud that our students learn in an international community where each person is respected regardless of culture, nationality or beliefs. We celebrate diversity and learn to understand differences rather than fear them. We also highly value an open and honest relationship with our parents, where they are active partners in the growth of their children and our community.

We cater for a range of abilities and needs through individualised programs and innovative teaching methodologies. We hope that each child is appropriately challenged, that they learn to think and to apply their new knowledge in ways that make our community and the world a better place. We provide an environment  that allows for guided choice, covering a broad range of thought provoking subjects and topics so the brain can flex and grow at this important developmental stage. It is vital to us that our students are happy, safe and successful throughout their middle school journey which is why we have a strong focus on pastoral care. Each student meets with their Advisor daily, as well as durign a 45 minute meeting each week.
