Learning, Adventure, Friendship and Fun!

The International School of Hellerup Summer Programme, aimed at children aged 4-12, provides an active and engaging time of learning, adventure and summer fun in a caring and supportive environment. The programme is delivered in English and runs for seven weeks from June 27th until August 5th (August 12th for ISH families).

The ISH Summer Programme is open to all children, including ISH students, students from other schools and children visiting the Copenhagen area. Our qualified teachers and pedagogues are dedicated to ensuring that your child will have an enjoyable and enriching experience with plenty of opportunities to make new friends, learn new skills, have lots of fun and stay healthy during the summer holidays. The ISH Summer Programme is divided into:

  • Summer CARE (for students aged 4-10) - a programme with daily activities, crafts and educational games organised in a child-centred setting where students influence what activities will take place based on their interests. The CARE programme is offered from June 27th –  August 5th (August 12 for ISH families) and is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 – 16:30.
  • Summer CAMPS (for students aged 7-12) -a series of week-long, thematic workshops led by qualified teaching staff or coaches. Students experiment in a cooperative environment that takes learning outside the classroom. At the end of the camp week, the participating students display their work to each other and their parents. The CAMP programme is offered fromJune 27th –  August 5th (August 12th for ISH families) and is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 – 16:00.

Children are signed up on a weekly basis so your family can choose summer activities according to your schedule. It is possible to mix and match CARE and CAMP weeks according to your child’s interests and needs. Early registration is encouraged since some of the summer camps have a limited number of spots available. Registration closes on June 12th, 2022. Register by May 15th for an automatic Early Bird discount on your course fees.  The first 50 students to sign up will get a free ISH Summer Programme T-shirt!

Should you have any questions or enquiries, you are welcome to contact the Summer Programme Leader Chiara Giani at summer@ish.dk.

The last day of enrolment was June 15th. We still have a few places available for most summer camps and it is still possible to enrol your child, however, an administration fee of 200 DKK will be added for registrations after June 15th. To enrol your child, please click on the link below.

Why the ISH Summer Programme?

Our daughter has been extremely happy to be attending the two weeks of summer camp so far – an indication of the great work that you and your teachers/assistants are doing. She is enjoying it very much and at the end of every day she is looking forward to going to ISH the next day, where she can catch up with her friends while also exploring new friendships.

Thank you again to you and your staff, and a new great week of summer camp is ahead of us this week again! We thought you should know that you are doing a great job there!

- Silviu and Ludmila (Parents, 2021 Summer Programme)

My son loved the week he spent at ISH summer camp. He did not know any other kids attending but this wasn't an issue as he quickly made new friends & enjoyed the activities and play opportunities. The activities were well structured & planned & the staff very friendly & efficient. The communication about the camp, from booking onwards, was very clear & easy. The facilities are secure & groups appear to be well organised & supervised.  We had a great experience with ISH Summer camp.

My son participated in the ISH Summer Camp 2021 dedicated to art, with works of painting, drawing, including an excursion in the forest to collect natural elements and learn how to compose them together. It was a great experience. My son could not wait to go to the field every morning, and at the end of the day, he was always satisfied with both the training part and the moments of play and recreation. The art teacher that the ISH School has selected for our children is of the highest professionalism. The organization was impeccable; all the staff dedicated to children were good and very kind. That’s the reason why we will also be there for ISH Summer Camp 2022.

Our kids (age 4 & 8 ) attended the ISH summer programme for the first time last year, and they LOVED it! The atmosphere was loving, and the days were filled with fun activities. They are both super excited to go back in the summer!

ISH Summer Camp was an excellent experience and we would definitely recommend it to other parents considering it. Our daughter came home with a smile every day and proceeded to educate us parents on everything from prehistoric dinosaurs to ancient egypt. The teachers were also very good at making sure she was feeling good socially and she ended up making new friends. All in all, happy kid, happy parents, excellent programme!

At ISH we tried a new school, a new environment and teachers for a Summer Camp. Our daughter was 5 at that time and had a great time. At the beginning she was shy and did not know anybody, but the staff made her feel comfortable and then she settled quickly. They played outside and made a lot of arts and crafts, she made new friendships, we had playdates and she is still asking me when she will go back to play with her ISH friends.
